Note: This policy applies to information collected by Apian Software for Apian Software. SurveyHost and QuestionWeb client projects receive even more protection, in that we do not use data from SurveyHost or QuestionWeb client projects in any way. Data collected by Apian clients through the SurveyHost and QuestionWeb services is not owned by Apian, and its management is covered by the privacy policies of individual clients.

Use of Internet Protocol Address

We may use your Internet protocol (IP) address for several reasons: to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our web site, to help identify you and your shopping cart, and to gather broad demographic information.

Use of Registration Information

Some areas of our website may require customers to supply contact information, such as name and email address, and demographic information, such as your ZIP code, age, or income level. We use this information for marketing purposes and to keep our customer records up to date. This information is not shared with individuals outside the company unless mandated by law, or unless Apian has subcontracted an outside vendor to contact you for Apian business purposes (i.e. a customer-requested mail house drop).

Use of Order Information

When you place an order, Apian requests information such as contact information, Federal Tax ID, credit card number and demographic information. The contact information you provide is used to send you orders, company information and information you have specifically requested such as our newsletter. You can opt out or opt in at any time. (See Opt Out/Opt In, below.)

Your financial information is used for the sole purpose of billing you for products and services. You Federal Tax ID number is used to identify your company when purchase orders are received, and demographic data is collected for marketing purposes.

Security

Apian Software uses industry standard security practices to ensure the protection and integrity of our servers and data. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, is encrypted using 128-bit Verisign SSL certificates for your protection.

Children's Guidelines

Apian's sites and services are not designed for use by children. If this changes in the future, this policy and our data collection practices will be revised to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule.

Opt Out/Opt In

Apian follows an opt-in system for marketing and informational e-mails, so you will not receive mailings unless you request them. If you have opted to receive mailings, you may change this preference at any time by contacting sales@apian.com.
